Visiting the Radio Telescope at the University of Canberra. The team at the university will be running acticities for ventures. This is a great opputunity to see up and close one of the radio telescopes that was operating in the 1980s through the the early 2000's at Orroral Valley. One of our previous scout leaders, Alison Wain, headed the team to have the telescope moved and restored at the unsverity campus. We are very lucky to be invited by Alison and her team to come and visit the radio telescope. Parents are also welcomed to attend if interested in learning more about the radio telescope.
* Please note the Radio Telescope is in an area that contains 4 active bee hives. While the bees should not be very active during the evening, please advise if you have an reaction to bees, ensure you have your medication with you**
