Global Comms & Worldwide Scouting:Listen in on professional radio communications, decode Morse code signals and chat directly with Scout groups around the world on giant projector screens.
Audio & Tech Engineering:Get hands-on setting up active PA sound systems, conquer electromagnetic interference, and route live global voice chats straight into the hall’s main speakers.
Local LAN Gaming Arena:Hook up your gear to our local network for BYO Minecraft builds and face off in head-to-head local Mario Kart and Worms tournaments.
BYO Gear:Laptop or Nintendo Switch for local gaming. There is a JOTI Minecraft server you can join from your PC. (Scouts and Venturers are responsible for the safety and security of their own equipment. Leaders will take a record of equipment that is brought along.)
Catering: The sleepover will be centrally catered using our annual budget allocation. Any dietary requirements must be communicated in advance.
Scout Spirit:Ready to game, engineer, and link up with the global Scouting community!
Pre-requisites
Minecraft: Any Scout or Venturer who intends to participate in the Minecraft server needs to ensure they have a "Java Minecraft account" and an updated game installed on their laptop. Unfortunately, gaming console Minecraft is not compatible with the JOTA/JOTI server.
